The Blacklist Support Group’s annual general meeting, which will take place in London on 23 March, will be the “largest meeting of blacklisted workers ever assembled in one place.” The group says attendees will “discuss the ongoing campaign against the illegal construction industry blacklist in the courts, in parliament, with the unions and on sites.” Speakers include general secretaries Len McCluskey of Unite, Paul Kenny of GMB and Steve Murphy of UCATT. Also addressing the event will be labour rights expert Professor Keith Ewing and leading employment rights lawyer John Hendy QC.

Congratulations on how much you have achieved so far against possible factors started, at least in part, perhaps as early as 1919; I have only really adverse experiences as far back as 1970 in the employment context in the UK and 1974 in New Zealand, but know how “difficulties” can influence careers of family members and possibly, based on 2007 onwards for my sons, educations of children. “Reluctant Whistleblower” since 1978 who “retired” in 2009, so possibly one of the “lucky survivors” to date (if I am to believe the numerous “warnings”.
Hi from the Electrical Trades Union in Victoria, Australia.
We are not involved in any of your activities, but are keeping a close eye on the companies and fantastic work you’re doing as precendent for us.
Keep up the great work, solidarity!
It’s been 4 years campaigning since we discovered the documents that proven the blacklist existed but 40 years of struggle when the big companies siad we were all conspiracy theorists.
Thanks for your solidarity from around the globe.
Ruth – please pass on our best wishes to Dean Mighell now he is standing down.
ETU have been staunch supporters in our campaign and lots of blacklisted construction workers in the UK wear ETU colours when we are picketing.
