In August, volunteer nurse William Pooley, 29, contracted Ebola in Sierra Leone, the first UK victim of the world’s largest ever outbreak. He’s not the only health worker casualty of an outbreak that has already claimed over 2,000 lives in Africa. According to the global union PSI, poorly protected health workers are dying of ‘criminal neglect.’ Over 240 have been infected; over 120 have died.
