Workers’ Memorial Day events planned for Norway
Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions (Landsorganisasjonen I Norge, LO) are planning to follow up the Norwegian tradition, to participate in organizing a tripartite conference. (two site of industry, governments and researchers) emphasize collaboration for the good OHS work as an important part in the preventive work to avoid injuries, accidents and illness due to work.
The conference this year addresses various issues of working environment, where cooperation between employers and employees to achive a god OHS-practis at the workplace are the main focus.
This year, 28. April are a Saturday, the Conference will therefore be held the day before. 27 April.
The target group for the conference are local representatives, safety representatives and managers in enterprises (the social partners in the workplace).
The concept of the day is as follow:
Together for a good working environment program is in place
On the occasion of world work environment day 27. april we offer you the opportunity to get an up-to-date picture of the State of the environment in Norway and the challenges we face-such as companies, employers and the Government sees the Program for the day. ' is now in place.
The Conference provides good examples of businesses that have succeeded in addressing the environmental challenges, and shows how it can be done. The rewards of a good working environment for employees ' health and well-being, and for the company's finance, lifted off.
Is our business model-the tripartite cooperation-so strong that it can withstand external stresses that the financial crisis, other economic challenges and changes in the labour structure in Europe, even if it is put to the test?
World Day for a good working environment
Friday 27. april marks the world day for health and safety in the workplace. Sets the day of the Conference Together for a good working environment.
The International World Day for safety and health at work is an anniversary on 28. april each year. This year the day falls on a Saturday, and an overall labour selection carried out the day before.
