Yet another incidence of total ineptitude and betrayal of British citizens by a judiciary totally out of touch with reality
Even if we successfully campaigned for stringent laws and penalties, they would still be administered by crown prosecutors and judges so set in their views that workers lives are just expendable human garbage to be disposed of at the whim of unscrupulous employers
We sat in court last week, after 5 years of battling,to heara judge toss out the manslaughter charge of the man who killed my son in an explosion because he was taking backhanders for illegally processing hazardous waste
The case was thrown out,not because there was insufficient evidence,or because a jury had heard all the evidence and found him not guilty, but because it had taken too long for CPS to bring case to court
THe CPS had closed ranks to protect a Crown prosecutor who grievously erred in law in not bringing Manslaughter charges back in 2005,taking all this time to admit they were wrong
The killer then pled guilty to section 7 of HSAWA so no witnesses called, no evidence heard. He just walked away to do it again, no doubt while the family were vilified in court for causing him so much worry by pursuing our fight for justice

The company have just been charged with section 2 and 3 and case will not be heard until almost 6 years after my son's life was stolen from him

The clear message sent out to these employers in the waste industry is kill, maim, make ill do what you like to your employees, the justice system will do very little while the media stay silent.Thne profit in risking lives far outweighs the piddly fines
When are the British people going to wake up to their exploitation by greedy reckless companies protected by a useless justice system and corrupt polticians who lie about the numbers killed and a media that scoffs at Health and Safety
Britian is indeed a sick, sick country
