I strongly agree with Dr. Michael’s caution with blindly accepting green jobs as safe jobs, which should also be broadly applied to the idea of green technologies. While the investment in green energy technologies has surely taken off, as it should as a means to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels, we should not repeat the mistakes of the past in blindly pursuing something without looking at its effects from a holistic point of view. For example, this is becoming apparent with the upsurge of wind farms across the country and the potential health effect low-frequency vibrations have on nearby residents. Likewise, the potential hazards faced by workers in these new “green” environments should not be overlooked.

Very fine words indeed but as we all know actions speak louder than words
Like the UK it is very easy for employers to get away with murdering workers, the politicians and the laws protect them
Let's see prosecutions taking place within the'green' industry in both countries, only then will there be safe green jobs
