While the investment in green energy technologies has surely taken off, as it should as a means to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels, we should not repeat the mistakes of the past in blindly pursuing something without looking at its effects from a holistic point of view. For example, this is becoming apparent with the upsurge of wind farms across the country and the potential health effect low-frequency vibrations have on nearby residents. Likewise, the potential hazards faced by workers in these new “green” environments should not be overlooked.
